Originally from Riga, Latvia, born in 1983.

My family and I immigrated to the United States when I was 9 years old. I grew up in Brooklyn, four blocks away from Astroland Park in Coney Island.

I attened FIT and have an Associate Degree in Fine Arts and a Bachelors Degree in Antique Restoration.

 

Before I began my tattoo apprenticeship I was working in the restoration field, restoring 17th, 18th century English furniture.

At the age of 18 I got my first tattoo, it's of a phoenix, now seamlessly incorporated with my Tennyo backpiece done by Rodrigo Melo.

 

My apprenticeship under Rodrigo Melo began in 2009 and I continue to learn from him everyday.
